Marketing professional with a strong skill set in market research and graphic design. I have over 10 years of experience leading the marketing team at the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts at Michigan Technological University, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I hold a bachelor of Fine Arts from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, with an English minor, and then completed most of my Masters of Arts in the Graduate School of Education—University of Wisconsin-Madison.
While at Michigan Tech, I led all communications, engagement, and marketing for the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts. I oversaw all marketing office staffing and training, administration, student outreach, workflow organization, creative direction and graphic design production. I was responsible for all PR including all media communications and press releases, internal and external communications, and strategic planning for advertising, public relations, and audience engagement for a large 1100-seat presenting theater, a small experimental black-box theater, a fine art gallery, with more than 80 events a year. In addition, I managed outreach activities with campus departments and student groups, arranged and managed marketing for the Center for Diversity and Inclusion's annual speakers' series; provided expert consultation across campus for event marketing.I wrote, edited, and created content for all media channels including social/ digital, website, blog, print, and broadcast formats.
Prior to that, I held a number of positions in marketing, advertising, and trade association management in Madison, and prior to that, New York City, where I completed my Bachelors' degree at the New School.
Outside of work, I love travel, camping, whitewater rafting, hiking, and being in the woods. And I have a side baking business.
